We had 45 of 47 starters complete this new route on January 11, 2014. Congrats! to you all. Riders experienced wind and the last few riders had heavy rain to contend with, too. The route had 5,000 feet of climbing on it — one of the hilliest designed in Florida — which makes it representative of the terrain on Paris-Brest-Paris.

At least 8 of the riders completed their first brevet ever on this route.

A special THANK YOU to Cara Wells (whose husband was the guy on the 29er blowing past riders on the dirt road). Cara expertly staffed the Lake Lindsey Deli and helped check riders in and with the finish.  We’re very appreciative of Cara helping with the ride.
