Up! All Night: The San An 200K

We were threatened with strong rain all night, but ended up with pretty good conditions on the first-ever Florida brevet with a night start. 8 of 9 hard randonneurs completed the route, riding together throughout most of the night. We had lots of very loud frogs to keep us company on the journey, an occasional appearance by the moon, and more than a few squashed armadillos to dodge. It was fun, and we’ll definitely do it again. Special mention to my neighbor Bruce, who completed his longest ride ever by more than 50 miles, and who was also doing his first night ride ever.  Chapeau!
