| 40 of 43 riders completed the route. The weather was moderate, with lots of sun, a mild 51F at the start, and some winds (as always) along the coast. Perhaps the most memorable (and unfortunate) memory was the homicide scene that many had to navigate around just a few miles from the finish. In addition to our locals, riders traveled from Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, New Jersey, Maryland, Kentucky, Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina for the ride. Burke and McDaniel pre-rode. Pinson and Polk rode from St. Petersburg to the start on Saturday, completed the ride, and rode back to St. Petersburg on Monday. |
