22 of 24 riders completed the 600K this year, under hot but generally dry skies. It was, however, windy. The most memorable part of this event was the excellent camaraderie. Josh stuck with Phil through thick and thin, while Phil earned his first 600K and his first ACP SR. Chapeau! Dan and Mary rode together, with Mary similarly earning her first 600K. Susan rode with Piero, who has been largely unable to cycle brevets because of the ongoing devastation in Puerto Rice, and Michael, who earned his first-ever 600. To me, everyone helping each other out is what randonneuring is all about.
