RUSA made the correct decision: RUSA is a national organization and it needs to have its eye on the big picture and to treat and support all RBAs and riders the same. I only wish that our state and national leadership was as sound and fact-based as RUSA&#8217;s. I can&#8217;t thank RUSA enough for it&#8217;s leadership in these tough times and you should, too. We&#8217;re lucky to have such responsible, responsive, national leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Short version: <strong>the July 4 Pinellas Beaches 100K populaire is officially cancelled<\/strong>. That said, my family and I will still be riding that route starting at 7am sharp. If you want to join us &#8212; in a socially distanced, responsible way &#8212; then let&#8217;s meet at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stpeteparksrec.org\/bayvistapark\/\">Bay Vista park<\/a>. Rolling 7am, <em>sharp<\/em>. No waivers. No ride leader. No RUSA credit. No nothing. But if you want &#8230; bring a cooler, some ice, and a growler or two and connect with me after the ride.
