Start Time: 0400, 27 October (FRIDAY)
Latest Possible Official Finish Time: 0700, 30 October (75 hours after start)
Location: Start & finish at the Inn on the Green, 700 E Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL
Cost: $5 (Yes, only $5)

Route: This is the Cracker Swamp 1000K route, modified slightly to make it a totally unsupported 1000K. The first day is a 270 mile loop to the Atlantic Coast; day 2 goes north to Cracker Swamp Road; day 3 travels west to Lake Lindsey/San Antonio. Each of the three loops returns to the start/finish in Tavares. It is relatively flat, especially on Day 1, but there are no “easy” 1000Ks, and this route is no exception to that rule.
Rider check-in: in front of hotel, 0330-0400 Friday immediately before the start
Registered Riders (as of 10/21): Bennett, Gold, Kusters, Lippincott, Schenkel and Smith
Read Me: This is a completely and totally unsupported “budget” brevet. No SAG, no food, no scotch, no nothing. For five bucks, you get a brevet card and a cue sheet. While the ride is open to anyone, it should be attempted only by the hardiest and most self-reliant of randonneurs. On registering, you will receive an email with instructions on completing the brevet cards — verification of the controls — correctly and for returning the completed, signed card to me on finishing the ride so that you get credit for your effort.
You must pre-register for this event. No day-of registrations. Preregistration must be completed by no later than 5pm, 25 October 2017.
There are two steps to completing your registration.
Step 1. Please fill in the information here.
Step 2. Send in your payment. Please make your $5 check payable to Paul Rozelle, RBA, and mail it to:
