Description of ride: This is a popular Pinellas County cycling route presented as a randonnee. Riders will travel along the Gulf of Mexico, experiencing several outstanding vistas. The route starts in St. Petersburg; the last 20 miles are on the Pinellas Trail, which is an excellent (and popular) multi-use path.
A few words on randonneuring: Although timed, these events are not races and no one will be recognized based on finishing time or finishing order. Given the urban nature of this route, and the bike path in particular, racing or aggressive riding is strongly discouraged. There is no SAG or support; you must be self-reliant and self-sufficient, and that includes should you become stranded on the route due to a mechanical or other difficulty. Riders should ensure that they are familiar with the rules for these events, which can be found here, and can find some additional advice on “What to expect” here. Membership in RUSA is not required to participate; all official finishers will receive a commemorative pin.  Helmets are required!
Parking: If you are local, please consider riding to the start/finish. There is ample parking along 1st Ave South and in the vicinity of the shop. Please don’t park in the lot for the bike shop

You MUST pre-register for this event! Registration will be coming after the date of the event is finalized!
